Is it just me, or do you need a logo for your wedding? I think it’s just me and Martha based on the response I got when I created our wedding logo! For me, it’s all about the details tying your day together.
When I told my MOH (my sister) that I was working on a logo she said, “I don’t get it, why do you need a logo? Don’t you just do your initials??” The answer? You don’t! You get one because you can. Initials are a great “logo,” but it is fun to get creative. Flash forward, four years later, she commissioned her very own logo for her wedding.
I initially set out on Etsy to find some awesome graphic designers who could make my dreams come true. The wonderful designs at Merrymint caught my eye. At first I wasn’t sure what my logo would be like, but there were some wonderful ideas on various blogs and wedding websites.
When I first thought about a logo I realized there are two ways to approach the logo: 1) you think of a theme and then take an element out to design a logo (example: nautical theme and a ship’s wheel), or 2) pick something significant and then make the rest of the wedding elements work with that.
Because we don’t really have a theme that has predictable elements, I had to think of some item that could me incorporated into a logo. So I thought back to significant moments in our relationship, and BAM! He proposed with a trophy and it was the central theme of the big day.
What’s your logo?

ready to make it Rain{ka}?
I'm an award-winning, expert attorney in Jacksonville, Florida. I represent professional women and their families who are injured or arrested in Florida. I love my job and am proud to have a career, but when I became a mother, I learned that working moms are uniquely tasked with having to achieve "balance." (whatever that is.) What I really wanted was freedom - freedom to practice law in a way that works for me and my family. Through the support and advice of other working moms, I have found success by developing a personal brand that allows me to create my own clients and practice law in a way that gives me freedom. Now it's my turn to help other lawyer moms learn how to do the same and make it Rain(ka).
