Three Masks to Add to Your Skin Care Routine

In the last few years, I have added a few masks to my pretty chill skin care routine.  Like all good skin-care recommendations, they came from a friend or Kim Kardashian.  Each one has a specific role. It’s my understanding that breakouts, acne and common skin cancers are caused by over exfoliating your skin.  That may seem like it’s only when you use an abrasive scrub, but it can also be peeling off layers with chemical mask.  Consequently, I use the products sparingly.

For Congestion: Indian Healing Clay

This product has 2,600 reviews on Amazon, and has 4.5/5 stars. You mix equal parts of water, or apple cider vinegar (which I recommend), and make a paste. Don’t use metal to mix the paste. I use a mini spatula. Smear a think layer onto your face and prepare yourself. You face will literally pulse. Honestly, it’s a little difficult to let the whole thing dry as it starts to itch, but distract yourself! I do laundry or dishes.  The results are amazing.

For Dull Skin: Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold Mask

There’s a medicine cabinet right by my shower with a mirror on it. Whenever my skin looks a little dull, I throw this mask on for a few minutes before my shower. It truly illuminates your skin and gives you a little glow for a few days in between peels or other facials.

For a Clean Sweep: Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial Mask

This facial means business. Once a month, I use this to get a nice refresh. It really peels off the dull skin and reveals lovely fresh skin. So, don’t forget to hydrate after the peel!

ready to make it Rain{ka}?

I'm an award-winning, expert attorney in Jacksonville, Florida. I represent professional women and their families who are injured or arrested in Florida. I love my job and am proud to have a career, but when I became a mother, I learned that working moms are uniquely tasked with having to achieve "balance." (whatever that is.) What I really wanted was freedom - freedom to practice law in a way that works for me and my family. Through the support and advice of other working moms, I have found success by developing a personal brand that allows me to create my own clients and practice law in a way that gives me freedom. Now it's my turn to help other lawyer moms learn how to do the same and make it Rain(ka).
