There’s something magical about packing your bags, grabbing your best friends, and heading to a city that knows how to have a good time. For me and my sorority sisters, our annual girls’ trip isn’t just about travel; it’s our way of celebrating 20 years of memories and sisterhood. It’s always a wild adventure, but last year, we took the party to the honky-tonk capital itself—Nashville!
Spilling the beans on our trip feels like catching up over coffee (or cocktails). If you’re planning a weekend in Music City, consider this your guide to eating, drinking, shopping, and living your best life in Nashville.
Why Nashville?
Because Nashville is the perfect blend of Southern charm, live music, and endless things to do! Whether you want to dance the night away, shop your heart out, or indulge in incredible food, Nashville checks all the boxes.
We made our base in The Gulch, one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the city. And when I say trendy, I mean “Instagram screams with jealousy” trendy. Staying in The Thompson Hotel elevated our weekend in ways I didn’t know a hotel could. The rooftop bar? Stunning views, craft cocktails, and a vibe that hits just right. Pro tip: We booked with our Amex Platinum and scored some awesome perks, including extra credit toward rooftop drinks. Yes, please!💃
Day 1 – Brunch, Shop, and Sing
Brunch at Adele’s
We kicked off the weekend right with brunch at Adele’s. This place is heaven. Think farm-to-table perfection with an atmosphere that’s effortlessly chic. The ricotta pancakes… chef’s kiss. If you go, don’t skip the brunch cocktails. You’re on vacation, girl, live it up!
Shopping Along 12 South
After brunch, we hit 12th Ave South, a street that promises boutique shopping and guilt-free splurging. One of the girls got a custom hat at Rustler Hat Co. (insider tip: book an appointment), and I finally caved and bought the Priscilla boots from Lucchese I’ve been thinking about for months. Worth every penny.
We fueled up on iced lattes from Barista Parlor, which, by the way, makes you feel like you’re drinking coffee in a modern art gallery. If you prefer a cozy vibe, Killebrew in The Gulch is also amazing.
Dance the Night Away on Broadway
When the sun set, we made our way to Broadway, and things got rowdy—in the best way possible! Live music pours out of every bar, but somehow we kept ending up at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. It’s got that iconic Nashville vibe mixed with just the right amount of chaotic fun. Plus, live music on multiple floors? Yes, please. My throat may or may not have been sore from screaming along to “Jolene” at the top of my lungs.
Day 2 – Fancy Dinners and Pretty in Pink
Dinner at Carne Mare
For dinner, we fancied things up at Carne Mare. Think high-end Italian-American steaks, dreamy décor, and a meal that made us all “ooh” and “ahh” the entire night. My go-to is the Burrata & Grilled Bread appetizer. Pair it with a cabernet, and suddenly, all your problems melt away.
White Limozeen at The Graduate Hotel
When Nashville gives you a pink rooftop paradise, you say yes. That’s exactly what White Limozeen is. It’s like Barbie’s dream house meets Southern glam, with killer cocktails to top it all off. We snapped way too many photos and stayed late enough to see the city lights twinkle from up above.
Day 3 – Coffee and Goodbyes
Coffee Stops Before Goodbye
On the last day, we slowed the pace, grabbed coffee at Biscuit Love (if you’re early, you might avoid the line), and shared stories from the night before. If I had extra time, Kayne Prime would’ve been on my list, but hey, there’s always next trip.
And that’s really the thing about a girls’ weekend in Nashville. You leave with amazing memories, too many photos, and a long list of what to do next time.
Nashville’s Magic for Your Crew
Whether you’re visiting for a sorority reunion, a bachelorette bash, or simply a weekend away, Nashville is the city that gives you a mix of fun, flavor, and unforgettable vibes. Book that girls’ trip, and trust me, you’ll leave with a full heart and a camera roll you can’t stop scrolling through.
